Scout Winter Camps

Winter Camps including the Environment Partnership Award Badge

A chance to lightweight camp in winter conditions and complete the Environment Partnership Award Badge at Fox Coverts Campsite in Winter months. Scouts arrive on Saturday morning and pitch night tents (weather permitting). Alternative indoor accommodation will be available if the weather is bad.

Once Scouts have pitched their tents they will complete a range of skills bases. They will bring with them a packed lunch. After lunch the whole camp will work together on an environmental project at the campsite which will qualify each member involved to be awarded the Environment Partnership Award Badge which can be worn on their uniform. Dinner will be provided on Saturday evening and afterwards a traditional sing song, games and then a film show. Sunday morning will be spent packing away tents and a closing ceremony.

The cost of the activity will be £18 per Scout, to cover drinks, morning and afternoon cakes, Saturday evenings meal, Sunday breakfast, camp fees, use of Building, heating, materials and badge .

Winter Camps will take place in December 2011 & February 2012. Scout Leaders will issue relevant paperwork.
